The words echoed back to her over an immeasurably huge gulf, the years that separated her and the man that had once said those words to her. With a slow blink, and a nearly undetectable sigh, Sakuya's sword-hand flexed imperceptibly. Time would go on. The world would keep existing- nothing would stop that. But I can make a difference. The thought was fierce and determined, and with one more look at the distant horizon, the blonde turned away from it, moving inexorably toward her destiny. Nothing would stop her.
