Chapter 1: Last Day and Night on Destiny Island

                              A fragmented tale

A world without you
            
                             Eyes will close


The memory beyond

                                          "its not over yet"

         Where is Sora?
       

                                      We must find him


    "His voice...it´s left me"
                        "This time...I´ll fight"


              "What are you so afraid of?"


A world in beween = A forgotten world
        

                            metamorphosis

      "Sora?"

           
             "Sora...Why?"
  
         
                      "Pleace Sora....don't go."
                                       "He looks just like you."

                                               "Come on, guys! We've got to save Sora!"
       
               "We´ll go togheter."
       
         
"Everything is coming back to me, the true..."



Darkness...Darkness was all Sakuya could see, not any light in sight...Sakuya felt the darkess
press her, like how you press out the toothpaste for a toothpaste tube, the darkness was painfull
and blinding...

Suddenly someone appeared behind the blond girl, she didnt even get enought time to twirl around
to see the persons face and even less time to struggle against him, the dark shadow griped her and
thornrose like tendrils of purple glowing darkness spread around them, surrounding them...
When the last tendril covered them...

....Sakuya opened her eyes and bolted up in her bed, she panted heavily as she realised she was at
home, in her own room and her own bed. Nothing had changed since yesterday, furniture, pens and
pencils, papers, old toys, everything was just as she had left them right before she had gone to bed,
the sight of her unchanged room calmed her down and convinced her that it had just been a very
realistic dream.

She looked towards a small doll that satt in in a bird cage, it had blue eyes, blond hair and red and
black cloaths, as a matter of fact it looked as a mini verision of Sakuya herself.

Sakuya remembered when she had made it for a school project, when Sayo, Sakuya's best friend,
Sora, Sakuya's brother, Kairi and Riku, Sora's friends, saw the doll, she made dolls of them too.

But that was after she had been abductend and then returned, noone knew who the kidnapper wanted,
he/she never left any trace or note, and then she just reappeared with no memories of being gone...  
When she got back Sora was so relieved and happy that she was back, that he gave her a pink
drop shaped crystal pendant on a necklace... Since then she has never taken it of.

The only other time that she didnt remember anything from was when the islands had been attacked
by the dreadful heartless the first time, and when she "awakened" again Kairi told her about what
had happened to her, Sora, Riku and the islands. Other people who had come back had also told her
about other worlds that they had visited after the islands was destroyed and she wondered why she
hadnt been taken to another world, sometimes she thought that she might have been taken by
one of those heartless, but it just didnt fit in...

After a little more than a year after the Destiny Islands had been returned to normal, Sora and
Riku had returned home again with loads of stories to tell. but now some months later a talking
duck and dog appeared in a ship and they told Sora and Riku that they had gotten a mission
to investigate something and so Riku and Sora went away with the dog and duck, and Kairi
who didnt want them to go alone, hid in the ship and became a stowaway.  

~How long has Sora been gone? around six months I think... I wonder where he is...
He should be back by now...~ Sakuya thought to herself just as someone knocked on her window,
(Sakuya who had been so deep into the tought, became so surprised by the knockings so she almost
jumped 10 meter right up from the bed) and a purple haired head with crimson red eyes could be seen peeking
into the room.

It didnt take longer than 1 second to recognise the purple hair and red eyes, they belonged to her best
friend Sayo, and Sakuya was quick to get out of the bed and open the huge window.

"Sakuya! Havent you forgoten something?" Sayo asked with a semi angry expression.

"Huh?... Oh no! Am I late for our "meeting", arent I?" said Sakuya and hit herself in the head with
her hand.

"Yeah! But it seems you had fun playing around here in your p.j.' s!"

"Sayo, dont be mean! I didnt mean to oversleep!" Sakuya yelled at her friend.

"´K, see you there!" Sayo said arrogantly and started runing towards the beach where they had their boats.

Sakuya hurried taking off her p.j.´s and taking on her red and black t-shirt and shorts and then ziped
them togheter as they were made for, then she toke on her black/white/yellow mini vest, and toke on
her red shoes,  most of the cloaths she toke on this day had some crowns printed on them that she
had printed on by herself to make them a bit more personal, and around her neck she wore a silver
chain with a pink drop pendant on.

Before she left the house she went to the kitchen and toke a slice of bread, she didnt want to make
Sayo even more angry just because she wanted to eat some breakfast, after she had the slice in her
mouth she ran back to her room and jumped right out of the window, and landed rather softly, and
then continued to run towards the beach that Sayo had ran towards.  

When she arrived she gulped down the rest of the bread and jumped into her small wooden boat, when she
looked over the ocean towards Destiny Island, she could see Sayo heading for the jungle. Sakuya continued
to row as fast as she could to catch up with Sayo, and as she arrived at the beach of Destiny Island
she secured the boat so that it wouldnt drift away.

After she finished that, Sakuya followed Sayo's footprints up into the jungle where she had climbed
up in the trees so Sakuya also had to climb up.

"Puh! Couln't you have picked a lower place eh?" Sakuya asked when she finally sat on one of the
trees brownish branches. She loved high places but she thought it was a bit unsafe. "Now why did
you want us to meet here?"

For once Sayo looked like she wasnt really there, as if her mind was far away...

"Sakuya....my mom....said yesterday that....we might move away from these islands..."

"What?....When? ...To where?" Sakuya could hardly say anything, her mouth was dry and she
wished that it was all a big lie. Sakuya didnt want her childhood friend move away.

"When is undecided yet and mom told me that she wants to move to the other side of this planet...
Lets not think of that now! Here take this! " Sayo toke on a happy expression, but it seemed like
the only thing she had put on was a mask to hide her own sadness. She threw a star shaped
yellow fruit to Sakuya who caught it a bit clumsily.

" A paopu fruit?"

"Yeah! I thought you wanted one." Sayo smirked, looked towards the ocean and started to climb
down the trees." Now let's fight!"

"If I wanted a paopu fruit, then I would get one myself!" She yelled to Sayo, and then started to
climb down too." You'll be sorry! I'll beat you yellow and blue!"

And so the day went on with wood-sword fights, races and some fruit eating contests, but
when the evening came and the sun started to set, they calmed down and sat down on the small
island where a Paopu tree grew to watch the sun set.

Sakuya sat on the Paopu trees trunk that almost laid on the ground, while Sayo sat on the
ground next to Sakuya.

"Sakuya, do you want to see other worlds?"

"Yeah, I guess so..."

"I want to see other worlds to....If we went with that duck Donald and dog Goofys ship,
then we maybe wouldnt have to be separated...."

"Mmm, Sayo....Lets promise eachother that even if we are separated, that even if we do forget
eachother.... we will still be best friends?"

".....Okay....I promise!"

"I promise too!" Sakuya said smiling with a tear in her eyes." Oh by the way, I saved the paopu
fruit you gave me! You know what the legend of it say?" Sakuya asked and toke out the star
shaped fruit from her pocket.

"Yes, I know, that if two persons share it, their destinys will be intertwined forever...So what?"

"Let's share it, so that our destinys will maybe become intertwined!" Sakuya broke in two
pieces and then gave one to Sayo and the other she muched on herself.

Sayo toke the fruit and ate it too, she didnt really think the legend was true, but if it
would help their friendship, she wanted to try it.

They sat there untill the sun sunk down into the horison of the golden sea, and the golden
orange colors turned into dark blues and purples.

When they went over to the boats to go back to their homes, Sakuya remembered that
she needed to get a thing in the small shed, so she ran back and into the shed.

But when she came out again about 1 minute later, the calm summer night had changed,
hard wind had started blowing and big black rain cloads had started to gather, the water
was unruly and big waves crashed against the beach...

Sakuya got a uneasy feeling when she saw that Sayo wasnt at the dock, and that the
boats were gone. She started to look for Sayo and when she finally saw her, she was at
the small paopu island. Sakuya hurried there only to find Sayo in a sort of hypnotised state.

"Sayo! Sayo! What are you doing? We have to go and seek cover! Sayo?" Sayo didnt reply to
Sakuya's cries.

"Sakuya, dont be scared of the darkness....let's go to the other world" Sayos voice didnt sound as
if she was councious...Sakuya didnt understand how but she understod that somehow, Sayos mind
was kinda somewhere else at the same time as it was here.

Suddenly Sayo reached out her hand, one black feathery wing suddenly appeared on Sayos back and
one white feathery wing appeared on Sakuyas back, white and black feathers where scatered everywhere.
Sayo started glowing in a purpleish black energy while Sakuya started to glow in a golden and cerice
engergy.

Sakuya didn't understand what happened to them, but tried to reach Sayos hand to wake her from the
trans, but suddenly something wierd happened...Underneath Sayo darkness came, starting to
swallowing Sayo,  and as Sakuya reached out her hand towards Sayo, light came up form
underneath Sakuya and it tried to stop Sakuya from reaching Sayo.

While the darkness grew in size and swallowed Sayo, the light did the same and swallowed Sakuya,
suddenly something appeared in Sakuyas right hand and tore up the light so it disappeared, the
strong light had blinded Sakuya for a few moments but when she could see again, she discovered that
the item she was holding was her brother Soras keyblade.

When she looked around she also saw that there was a lot of heartless on the bridge and beach, and
up in the in the sky was a big vortex hole...

All of a sudden the vortex hole started suching in things into it, and it didnt take long for
the small island to break of from the oceans bottom and being sucked up with trees and Sakuya on.

As She and the island entered the vortex she lost counciousness, when she woke up again she didn't
recognise the place, and she also saw a woman dressed in a black dress with a royal face.

"Who... who are you?where...where am I?" Sakuya said somewhat drowzily.

"This is my home world, the world between all worlds....I'm the sorceress, Edea!"
