The world around them was a bleak one; even the cobble stones of the road under the team's feet had lost their colors, some of the houses were on the brink of collapse, some seemed to have holes in them from both weather wear and battle, almost all plant life was dead. Only a few odd plants lived, presumably put out there to ensure the world didn't run out of air. There were no chirping birds, no busy people hurrying about to do their work, no rats scurrying in the shadows, no sign of life at all. A truly dead world.
